May his soul rest in the warmth of his merciful Father & receive a welcome embraced by his Blessed Mother. May graces of strength be giving to his family and his parishioners and all you loved him dearly.
He was a priest for my Diocese and a darn good one at that. He was a good and holy priest and we (the seminarians of the diocese) deeply admired him.
Thank you for bringing this tragic news to our attention. May he rest in peace.
Fr. Todd was quite the guy from stories we heard about him. He was 7 years ahead of me at Texas A&M and active at Saint Mary's Catholic Church there in College Station. I was just reading his posts about this vacation he was on. I could just see so many of the things he was talking about, local hangouts and parks in central Texas (kinda made me homesick).
For those in the area:
The Rosary is on Monday at 7:30, and funeral on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Both will be at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda. (Buda is south of Austin on I35.)

The notes that Fr. Todd wrote about his vacation -- how much he was looking forward to going home -- really struck me. He could not be more at 'home' than he is now - and I know that the joy he felt in anticipation of his earthly homecoming is as nothing compared to the joy he must be experiencing in the arms of God.
We have a new friend in heaven --
I don't want to rain on some people's parades here, but if Fr. Todd was here, the LAST thing he'd say is, "Assume I made it." He'd be asking for our prayers and intercessions if he is in purgatory. Saying, "He's in a better place" or "He's is heaven" is a huge disservice to Fr. Todd.
I knew him, personally, so I am not spekaing of things I don't know.
May he rest in peace.
This is very sad news. Fr Todd will be missed. May he rest in the peace of Christ.
I was just thinking how much St. Blog's really is becoming like a real parish. We have births, we have deaths, and they both really touch us. Thank you Jeff for spreading the news on this. Father will be missed.

I knew Fr. Todd personally (in the flesh!) and what a great man he was.
