#4. Twelve justices...that's 3 more than the last time I checked. Must be the ghost of Roosevelt in action.

Glenn Beck (Glennbeck.com) knocked it down to the 4 commandments. Well, actually they're just the 4 things you should do if it's not too conveniant or mentally torturous.

Have you considered publishing a book of your greatest posts? If not, then start thinking about this. People beyond the blogosphere deserve to laugh the coffee out of their noses, too!

Great job!

In the same way, I always thought that certain pop culture figures changed society's views on the commandments. The economist Adam Smith (greed is good) deleted the commandment on coveting thy neighbors goods. King Henry the VIII (or maybe Bill Clinton) deleted the commandment on adultery. Muhammed, Adolf Hitler and Margaret Sanger deleted the commandment against killing. Hugh Hefner deleted the commandment against coveting thy neighbor's wife. Nietzsche deleted the first commandment, "God is dead". Time will tell if the current supreme court succeeded in deleteing the commandment against stealing.

I figured the supreme court would have had the Ten commandments re-written, then having them renamed as the "Life Suggestions". More like spiritual guidelines, but only if your religious, or for those who wanted to incorporate them into your lifestyle... but certainly not manditory.

Love it!

It's a fantasy of mine that a bolt of lightening hit the buildings of the Supreme Court and Congress simultaneously. Not to harm anyone mind you... just enough damage that it must be claimed an "Act of God." Is that very terrible of me??

Very good post. We must think a like because I posted a very similar Supreme Court's First Commandment in post the other day. See http://wbloomfield.blogspot.com/2005/06/supreme-courts-version-of-constitution.html

My post primarily concerns the Supreme Court's erroneous interpretation of the Constitution.

So, who plagiarized whom?

The Curt Jester

A former atheist who after spending forty years in the wilderness finds himself with both astonishment and joy a member of the Catholic Church. This blog presents my hopefully humorous and sometimes serious take on things religious, political, and whatever else crosses my mind.

My conversion story

Email Me:

Blessed Miguel Pro, S.J.

Known as "God's Jester" was a martyr for the faith and a man of wisdom, fun, tricks, poetry, song, and dance. Thus seemed an appropriate Patron Saint of this blog.
