Howard Dean Explained
This morning's NPR Morning Edition features an interview with Democratic National Committee chair Howard Dean, who says he wants to reclaim evangelicals and Roman Catholics for the Democratic Party. This is possible, he says, by emphasizing that the Democratic Party is not the party of gay marriage or abortion. When pressed on this, Dean admits he doesn't want to restrict abortion or homosexual liberationism. Instead, he wants to show evangelicals and Catholics that the Party "has a soul" and respects the values of "people of faith."
In fact, Dean argues, the Democratic Party actually resonates with evangelical values because it cares for those who are "left behind." [Via Mere Comments]
With good ole Howard talking about how it "hates Republicans and everything they stand for" and recently that many Republicans 'have never made an honest living' you can understand why Republicans call him the "gift that keeps on giving." Boy is the pro-abortion PAC Emily's List confused in giving millions of dollars to the party that isn't about abortion.
I think the below is the only thing that can fully explain Howard Dean.

Heaven knows that the Republicans have enough Sad Sacks to constitute an Army division! One only need to see the McCain Brigade in action to comprehend just how bereft of courage and wisdom many in the the GOP are.
But, and a big but, nothing can compare to the Kamikazes in the Party of the Ass. Along with Dean's "Soul Man" trip, it is rumored that the Heinz genie, "Cambodia" John is emerging to bring up a Presidential impeachment matter when Congress resumes. Based largely on utter speculation of "He Knew That There Were No..."
the likes of which Michael Moore mught use.
I assume that the Good Doctor will also have his say in this matter. That is after he increases the number of conservatives even further.
If I were an Evangelical, I'd say the Dems already do appeal to the "Left Behind". (In the Tim LaHay sense)
Or is it the "Lefty-Behinds"? (In the Rush Limbaugh sense)

Memo to Dean: Christians believe politicians who support abortion and homosexual marriage have a soul. They just think it's in a dark place.

Even if there were grounds for impeachment in anything that Bush has done, it would be incredibly, incredibly stupid for the guy who lost to him to lead the charge. Sore loser, anyone? I can't believe that the powers-that-be would allow Kerry to do that (unless of course this is some plot of Hillary's to let Kerry destroy himself so she'll have one less opponent in the 2008 primary). If they were going to try to impeach Bush less than a year after he got reelected, I should think they'd be smart enough to have someone without a personal stake in it to lead the charge.
Lucy, (ha, ha,ha!), I'm hoping Karl Rove doesn't read your post. Putting him in the environment of mating with Rose Kennedy to produce Howard Dean may just send the poor guy off drooling in a cup for the rest of his days.

Well, I believe that being Pro-Life doesn't end at birth. And Pro-Life isn't a label to give the governor who presided over more executions (capital punishment)in U.S. History.
So that leaves me... hmmm. I will have to just rise above the culture wars and think about more than one issue when I vote. Or...
