Whatever happened to?

I'm so very sick and tired of hearing about "nuns" that are upset over the Church and the election of the new Pope, and thought the last Pope was lack luster to boot. So move on. And I mean just that, move on to a Church that has your requirements. It's out there, go get it. Stop trying to change what cannot be changed. Certainly not by a bunch of dissident nuns that wanted to start running the show mainly because they were tired of the men folk running it. "We want to wear red robes too!!!" My advice would be go buy a red bra, and then join the Episcopalians......and there you go.

Ugh. I love you, Curt Jester, but this post sounded way too much like what I've really been hearing since April 2 -- too sad to be funny.

What a clever satire, making fun of Ratzenfreude like that. And the sideswipe at Kerry and Clinton lovers was a nice touch.

I agree with Robin and Maria. It was truly inspired satire... but way, *way* too close to the mark. It sounded *too* real. I've heard these people, and this really could have been them talking. That you can do this makes me fear for your soul. ;)

Yes, it looks like you've already got somebody over there fooled into thinking that is a genuine site.

Now I am getting *really* confused, trying to figure out if "Sister Malarkey" is real.

Sister Malarkey is real as is all the quotes I used in the post. Only Sr. Mary is not real, though I do work carefully to ensure that she says the same things I have read many times by progressive religious and others.

I am sorry Jeff! I did click on the link for the piece on "Sister Malarkey" and you are right, she should be a real person, but the name is just too far out there! Maybe someone is giving you a run for your money in Satire and they actually wrote one and the media siezed on it as a real human interest story "Sister Malarkey!"

I really did think this was a real article for the simple reason I know of way too many nuns who think and speak just like your Sr. Malarky. Wow, Did I go off just a bit much first out of the shoot? Well all I can say is your not off the mark at all with Sr. Malarky. She has many other alias' all over the country, which is sad....
