I would say that you could identify a True Catholic by the fact that they behave as if they were a Catholic.

Look, suppose that I am the most ruthless and miserable Atheist-F*ck (ladies … pardon my “French”) in the universe; let’s suppose that I don’t follow Christian teachings at all much less even believe in them.

But let’s also suppose that I go around telling everybody that I am a “Christian” so they are confused into thinking I’m a “good-guy” (you do realize it’s much easier to take advantage of people if they think you are “good”?). Okay, so does the fact that I call myself (I identify myself) as a “Christian” mean I am a Christian in reality?
