More Deformed Reform

A new group of reformers has arisen in south Florida named One Catholic Voice for Action. Unfortunately it looks like they are much like Voice Of The Faithful (VOTF). Possibly they started this group to avoid the baggage and reputation that VOTF has, but unfortunately it looks just like the same old warmed over Call To Action Agenda.

In an article about a meeting held in Miami this story reports.

At the meeting, prospective members learned about the nonprofit organization's mission to make the Catholic Church a more welcoming and honest community for all of its followers, regardless of their sexual preference or marital backgrounds.

Their web site has all of the buzz words you expect for other than fully faithful Catholic reform groups. This means that you will see the word empower used more often then a or and. They shroud themselves in terms to avoid being seen as disobedient. Their main page links to Blueprint for Vatican III, an article done by (surprise, surprise) the National Catholic Reporter.

And if you want to know who they are, well this is what they say.

"We are people of God, Brothers and Sisters, created in the image of God; we are all equal in the sight of God, regardless of our gender, race, culture, sexuality, or economic status"

the "sense of the faithful"

"marginalized, disenfranchised, and made outcasts solely because of our gender, race, culture, sexuality, or economic status"

And if I hear the term dialog one more time I am going to get sick

And of course they add the mandatory reform verse "We are the voice crying alone in the wilderness", just like VOTFs "Voices Rising from the Wilderness." I say let them cry and stay in the wilderness. When they decide to come out and start a reform group firmly grounded on prayer and obedience then and only then should anyone listen to them.
