Send a greeting to Fr. Benedict Groeschel

The first Catholic book I ever bought was Fr. Groechel's IN THE PRESENCE OF OUR LORD, The History, Theology, and Psychology of Eucharistic Devotion. Before becoming Catholic and having at the time having just moved to Florida where they had EWTN, I first saw him on EWTN talking with Mother Angelica about this book. I have probably listened to over a hundred hours of his tapes broadcast on the local Catholic radio station over the last five years. His book lighted the fire of love for the Eucharist that finally brought me into the Church. His wry humor, charity and love of the faith also showed me that while being a Catholic was a day to day challenge it was also fun.

He's also tough as nails, and honest about his own limitations and spiritual difficulties.

Fr. Groeschel is one of the single greatest reasons I came in to full communion with the Church myself, and is also probably one of my biggest "models" as far as Holy Orders go. May god grant him a speedy recovery.

I pray Lord for the healing of Fr Benedict Groeschel. We are in need of the light of his life in this world. Please heal him Lord so he will continue to serve you through his gentle words inspired by Your Spirit. Mary Ellen

May the Lord hold Fr. Benedict Groeschel in His Arms. The Holy Spirit shines through the Lord's Servant who has always been willing to openly share with us through tough times--showing his great love for each of us personally. He has touched our lives just as the Holy Spirit has touched his. Now may the light of the Holy Spirit again touch Fr. Groeschel in His time of healing. Thank you God!!!

Father Groeschel is the epitome of God's Holiness and truth amongst us.He is the good shepard of his flock. God is certainly proud of his devotion to him ; which means presenting the universal truth of Our Savior, Jesus Christ to all of us. May Father's health improve to do God's work longer. Amen !

The Curt Jester

A former atheist who after spending forty years in the wilderness finds himself with both astonishment and joy a member of the Catholic Church. This blog presents my hopefully humorous and sometimes serious take on things religious, political, and whatever else crosses my mind.

Blessed Miguel Pro, S.J.

Known as "God's Jester" was a martyr for the faith and a man of wisdom, fun, tricks, poetry, song, and dance. Thus seemed an appropriate Patron Saint of this blog.
