Attending two Masses and daily confession required

Shouts in the Piazza finds a story about a valedictorian who is going to Christendom College that is dripping with labels and misinformation.

Peole who saw that in the paper or who live in its area of coverage should write letters to the editor correcting the errors. Don't denounce them. That would just encourage them. Politely correct them.

Mark Shea's rule is appropriate here: "Dock 50 IQ points whenever the MSM discusses religion"

when I attended C-dom there were THREE daily Masses... hmmm... wonder what the NJ ppl would think of that, eh!

I'm surprised that the article didn't include that the dorm rooms do not have telephones, either; there are shared phones in the common areas. (but w/ cell phones these days...)

And no TV? Is that really a problem? DVDs on laptops! And there are several TV rooms on campus.

Trust me: no intervisitation is a good thing! I transferred from a large, secular school w/ co-ed bathrooms; no intervisitation was a relief!

Gosh....I went to Marquette....home of Daniel Maguire, hardly a stronghold of orthodoxy. If offering multiple Masses and daily confession (except Sunday) makes a university one of those scary "conservative" ones, I guess Marquette is too!

That reporter really knows nothing.....

I sent the article to a classmate who is a chaplain at Christendom, so that he could correct the reporter.

I AM PAUL'S MOM AND THAT IS WHY HE CHOSE CHRISTENDOM. HE SAW MANY COLLEGES AND HATED THE LIVING CONDITIONS. HE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO ATTENDING CHRISTENDOM IN THE FALL. PRAY FOR HIM
