Jonah on the Web

Here is an interesting site called "Jonah on the Web' which includes links to over 200 articles and 150 pictures on Jonah. The author of the site emailed me since he had included my "If Jonah had a Blog" as one of the links. This parody was a sequel to my "If Adam had a Blog."

Interesting link; although I fail to see what's "anti-kosher" (or even specifically Catholic) about the plankton joke. It's a neat topic though to devote a website to and there are some great images there.

I couldn't find on that site whether the author catalogues movie references, but the one that leapt to mind was in "Master and Commander" which had a significant Jonah subplot involving superstitious sailors.

(The site editor.) That's excellent. I'll do a search for comments on Master and Commander and the Jonah story. I couldn't think of any movies—except for an animated one in the kids section.

As for the kosher joke, it's anti-kosher because it pokes fun at kosher rules—a Jew fussing about whether plankton is clean or unclean. But I'm probably over-sensitive to this; humor is humor. Anyway, if that gets a mild "I'm not as comfortable" you should see the scorn I heap on some of the Fundamentalist material! Oh, I only call it Catholic because it's on a Catholic blog. (I'm Catholic too, btw.)

I realize I'm way too late to say this, having only discovered your blog a few months ago, but that 'Adam's blog' piece is pure genious!! LOL.
