Disease, abortion - equal weight

The Old Oligarch responds to an article in America Magazine which is just another attempt at de-emphasizing abortion and putting it on an equal plate with other concerns.

Is it just me, or are the editorials/articles in AMERICA getting even more liberal. I read that one, and I'm glad something responded. Thanks!

Peace, Jeff.

I don't see Cahill touting these as weightily equal. She seems to be saying we need to look at other issues that make the world a less moral place.

If you and the O.O. are saying all other issues are on the back burner till abortion is satisfactorily resolved, I think you have a problem. What exactly is your problem on this one, anyway?

Todd,
Do you think that a society that allows for the dismemberment of unborn children at the permission of their mothers because they are inconvenient is a society that honestly cares if workers get a fair wage or about good health care benefits?

I agree, Pansy. Abortion is an all-encompassing basic issue which underlies everything a society does. A pro-abortion society reflects the attitude that the strong survive and ignores "the least of the little ones."
