I'm beginning to come around to that point of view. T'ain't gonna happen though.

Especially not now that Cheney has reiterated his gay-marriage-isn't-so-bad-but-the-states-should-decide position. The Left would accuse Bush of jettisoning Cheney from the ticket because he dissented (sortof) about "writing prejudice into the constitution" and we can tell from the cadre of pro-aborts getting top-billing at the convention that Bush wants to project a "kinder, gentler" image to the swing voters on social issues.

Plus, with some of the names being floated as Cheney replacement (McCain and [urgh!] Guiliani), we'd very possibly be worse off if Cheney were sent packing.
